A FEW THINGS WORTH KNOWING
Follow your hunch.
We’ll explain the rest.
Rules, scoring, daily puzzles and the small details that keep your progress working.
The two games
How do I play Spill Point?
Look at the chamber and its water level. Drag the glass or use the angle slider to predict when the first drop will spill, then choose Lock my guess. The chamber tilts while the water stays level. A closer prediction earns a higher score out of 100.
Your first guess is locked for that round. You can replay the reveal afterwards. Play Spill Point →
How does Thread It work?
Drag the shape or use the rotation slider, then choose Send it through. It slides straight through the opening at your chosen angle, without bending or turning during the slide.
A clean fit scores between 50 and 100. Less spare room means a sharper score. A caught turn scores below 50; a closer miss can still earn points. After a miss, use the clean-fit comparison to see one possible way through. Play Thread It →
How is my five-round score calculated?
Finish all five rounds to get the rounded average of their scores, out of 100. A result image can also show a run in progress, but a score challenge is added to the link only after all five rounds are finished.
Scores are casual, device-saved results. Hunchlet does not verify them as competitive records.
Daily puzzles and practice
When do the daily puzzles change?
New daily sets arrive at 00:00 UTC. The home page shows a countdown and the reset time in your local timezone. Everyone playing the same dated set gets the same five puzzles for that game.
What is the difference between daily, practice and archive play?
Daily: today’s shared five rounds in each game. Practice: a fresh five whenever you want more. Past daily archive: earlier dated sets available from the home page.
Practice and archive play do not advance today’s daily streak.
What counts towards a daily streak?
Finish all five of today’s rounds in a game. Spill Point and Thread It have separate streaks, saved on this browser. A partially finished set does not count as a completed day.
Progress and sharing
Where are my scores saved?
On this browser and device. There are no player accounts or automatic cross-device syncing. A different browser, device or website address has separate progress. Private browsing or clearing site data can remove saved games.
If you see a notice that progress cannot be saved, keep the tab open to finish your run and check your browser’s storage settings.
Can I change a first guess or reset my progress?
Your saved first guess stays locked for that round. Use practice for a new set. Settings includes an export option and a reset option. Resetting removes locally saved progress; it is not an account reset.
How do I challenge a friend?
Use Challenge a friend or the result sharing panel. The link opens the same game and puzzle set. Finish all five first to include your score as the target to beat.
The image is a score card; the link is what lets a friend play the same puzzles. Links and cards never include puzzle answers or your guesses.
Why does image sharing work differently on different phones?
Browser and app support varies. If the share sheet is unavailable, use Save image or open the image preview and save it there. You can copy the challenge link separately or use the WhatsApp option.
For an Instagram Story, add the saved image and paste the challenge URL into a link sticker.
Can I turn off sound or anonymous gameplay counts?
Yes. Open Settings to change sound and vibration or turn off Help improve Hunchlet. Gameplay works with anonymous counting disabled. Read the privacy page for what is stored.
Still stuck? Report a problem with the game name, what happened and the phone or browser you used. Do not include passwords or private account details.
